Webcuts04+05 Jury

A jury of 5 to 7 experts will select the best films from the competition entries. To reflect the broad spectrum of entries and their interdisciplinary nature, the jury will consist of renowned experts from the fields of new media, design and film.

So far, the following members of the jury are confirmed:

Joachim Sauter Prof.
Joachim Sauter studied visual communication and film He is a founding member and creative head of ART+COM and since 1991 Professor for Design with digital Media at the University of the Arts, Berlin. Since 2001, he is also Professor for Media Design and Media Art at UCLA. He exhibits his works internationally in museums and has received numerous renowned awards in the fields of media design and media art.

Gerhard Hahn Prof.
In 1980 Gerhard Hahn founded Hahn Film a leading animation studio in europe. He got a large experience as a regisseur, author, production manager und professor for Animations at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Potsdam-Babelsberg. With Hahn Film he produces a lot of movies, spots and clips using classic 2D animations and CGI production.


Ludwig von Reiche
Ludwig von Reiche is the Chief Operating Officer (and Geschäftsführer) of mental images GmbH, the Berlin, Germany-based developer of globally leading visualization software products, including the Academy Award® winning rendering software mental ray® and RealityServer®, a new server-based 3D collaboration platform.

Sven Assmann
Sven Assmann has a large new media experience as a art director and is spezialized in film and dvd authoring. He is teaching at L4 in Berlin and chairman of multimedia union Interface!Berlin too.

Eku Wand Prof.
Eku Wand studied Visual Communication at the University of the Arts, Berlin. In 1991 he was founder, manager and producer of ‚Pixelpark‘ multimedia production company. In 1993 he has founded the multimedia studio ‚eku interactive‘ and realized various interactive new media projects. He is also a producer and publisher of edutainment CD-ROM titels and computer games. Since 2001 he is professor for Media Design/Multimedia at the Institute for New Media of the Braunschweig University of Art. His works have been presented at numerous media festivals around the world and have won various prizes and distinctions.
